Training Calendar

Due to the Covid-19 situation all training was suspended but as the lockdown eases some trainers are offering some training opportunities but only under strict social distancing and hygiene rules.  Please check with the individual training provider as to what their rules are regarding this.

Training is one of the major keys to success.  With the right knowledge and information you can build and grow a successful business and by keeping up to date with the latest techniques and designs your business can continue to flourish.  Take a look at our training calender and see what is available in your area.

    Beginners Creative Fundamentals

    with Jo Higgs of The Balloon Training Academy

    Saturday 20th March, 10.00am - 4.30pm

    Balloon Training Academy is an established education provider that is set up to offer Balloon Decoration Courses within a local grammar school in Enfield, North London. The school is fully compliant with all Covid guidelines and has strict risk assessments in place to cover us using this facility. We also have our own risk assessment in place and have taken the following precautions to be able to restart our classes on the 20th March 2021.

    This is a great course to get you started, covering all the Fundamental Techniques in Sizing, Tying, Duplets, Clusters, Square Pack, Inflation using Helium and Air,  Float Times, Hi Float, Balloon Shine, Sourcing Products, Equipment, Pricing Designs and Setting up Social Media. This class teaches Balloon Bouquets, Balloon Columns, Balloon Arch, Air Filled Balloon Arrangements, Bubble Balloons and Garlands. All products are provided and all designs personally created are yours to keep.Course notes provided as an online powerpoint presentation. 

    Certificate awarded on completion.  

    £185 pp (incl a £50 deposit payable when booking)

    COVID COMPLIANCE
    The large area we use within the venue is deep cleaned before and after each class to ensure the area is sanitised. 
    The Hall used can accommodate up to 250 people but with Covid Guidelines in place we will have no more than 12 people in the room (Max 10 students and 2 Tutors)
    Each student is given a large table to work at with at least 2 metres between each table. 
    Students are encouraged to stay at their own desks for the majority of the designs taught
    Sanitizer Stations are situated at the entrance to our room and within the venue at various points. 
    Hand washing facilities are available. 
    All equipment is sanitized before class and numbered so each student has their own set of equipment to use within class. 
    Where larger equipment is shared it is spray sanitised between each use by our tutors.
    Windows in the venue are open at all times to allow fresh air to circulate.

    When signing up for class students are asked to agree to the following: 
    To notify us if they have any of the main Covid symptoms: New Cough, Temperature, Loss of Smell or Taste 
    To notify us if they have been requested to isolate or have been in contact with anyone with covid in the past ten days. 
    Not to attend if they are unwell in any way - class will be rebooked for them when they are fit to attend.
    All students will have their temperatures checked on arrival using a digital thermometer and if raised will be re tested after 10 minutes and then if no change to the normal range will be asked to leave the venue and attend on a new date.
    All students (unless medically exempt with a current certificate, will be expected to wear a face covering throughout the class (unless the government has advised we are no longer required to ask this)
    Bottled Water & Hot Drinks will be provided (in disposable cups) but students are asked to provide their own snacks throughout the day to avoid any cross contamination.

    Award in Creative Craft

    Balloon Artistry

    Level 1

    Capel Manor college (Enfield campus)

    Starts Monday 23rd March (Online)

    This online introductory course will provide you with an insight into the world of balloon artistry.

    You will create a range of air filled designs using latex, foils and bubble balloons and learn the basic practical skills to develop and expand your creativity. You will be given a pack with all the tools and materials needed to create designs in your own home.

    Children's Party Decor

    This class is the next step in balloon creations, students are expected to have already acquired the basic balloon skills (either from a beginners course or self taught). 

    The class teaches a variety of children's themed designs including: Numbered Arrangements, Children's Characters, Twisting Techniques, Working with Modelling balloons, Flowers, Organic Garland and Party Room Set Up. Information is also provided on using a Vinyl cutter such as Cameo or Cricut to enhance your displays. Certificate awarded on completion.     Wedding and Large Organic Decor

    This class is the next step in balloon creations, students are expected to have already studied at least one other course prior to this to acquire the basic balloon skills needed as no time is offered to teach this within the lesson. The course runs with a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 students.

    In this class you will be taught and work hands-on to create: Organic Demi Arch, Large Organic Hooped Design, Creative Arches and Columns, Framed Hearts, Balloon Wall and more.

    This stand alone one day certified course offers you the chance to create a selection of beautiful designs for Gender Reveal, New Baby, Christening, 1st Birthday, Engagement, Anniversary and Wedding. Students will work hands on and all designs are yours to take home. This course teaches how to use a Vinyl cutter to enhance your designs. Course Notes are provided as an online resource PLUS each student is given a Fantasy Flower Home Learning Kit to take away with them (Fantasy Flower Training Kit usually £65).
