Lately it can be hard not to feel competition from the high street with popular party chains offering customers low prices and easy access. Read on for some motivation on what you can offer that retail chains can’t and how to use these unique selling points to your advantage.

Offer Personal Service

Being the boss of your business affords you the benefit of being able to offer a bespoke service to your customers. Knowing your margins and being in a decision-making position allows you the autonomy to think on your feet and upsell products, offering bundles and add-ons outside of the norm. 

This means that you can really listen to your customers and assess their needs and then offer products and services that are much closer to what they need rather than having to stick to a set product and price list. For example, you may spot an opportunity to upsell excess stock as a bundle for a discounted price or be able to accomodate a same sex couple asking for an extravagant bespoke ‘Mrs & Mrs’
